What is digital citizenship? Digital citizenship is the responsible use of devices and access to the internet. Digital citizenship is important because it ensures that online platforms are safe and teaches responsibility for managing personal information. Posting and being active on an online platform comes with its good and its bad. Some of the positive things about posting online are that it benefits businesses by interacting with customers, gives the ability to build a brand, spread awareness, gain information about customers, and receive feedback on products/services. Some of the more negative sides of posting on social media are the lack of privacy, exposure to negative feedback/cyber-bullying, can be a form of disinformation, and hacking is a possibility.
